Woods Recruiting

All high school athletes want to be that’s why they work hard on their game in the first place. Most college prospects need help in the college recruiting process.

Getting your name out there is the most important thing that an athlete can do. Being scouted by college programs is the goal. Going about it is the hard part.

Many parents right now are on the Internet looking for the answers to their many questions about recruiting. Many parents will make mistakes along the way in the college recruiting process and I think that’s why some pay for these so-called recruiting services that do nothing.

Most parents and students don’t know what they’re doing so it’s best to get as much information about the college recruiting process as you can. Much of the information out there is easy to get and mostly free.
Never pay for a college recruiting service! Save that money!

Getting someone’s name out there is more about being seen at camps, combines, AAU exposure events, J.O. events and all the other types of tournaments. Invest your money into these kinds of things.

If college coaches can see you play no matter what the sport you play, you will get recruited. Getting placed in college is another thing. You have to be as good as or better than the players that are on the team now.

Sometimes, it’s about being seen by enough college coaches that will make all the difference. I have seen players with great talent get heavily recruited over a player who may have more talent but, because of the exposure that player had, he’ll get the scholarship.

Getting your name out there is one of the many first steps you will take in the college recruiting process.
